Default ticking only in gear, and cold.

ive narrowed the ticking on my 1.8t b5 down to only doing it when im driving, and when the car is still cold, in neutral or clutch pushed in, it doesnt do it. any suggestions?!

first thing to do is replace the oil in the transmission if the noise is still there etheir live with it or time to rip the transmission apart

because if it was your engine it be doing it in neutral also. Hes assuming bad tranny gears or dirty oil, which is a better sceanario, so drain and fill your oil.
