There must be something loose in there, are the springs sitting correctly on the perches? Take it all out and make sure, then re install and it might go away. Happened to me.

Post back when you figure out the problem. I'm thinking control arms. I've got a similar noise on stock non-sport suspension!

ok so i took it all apart and put it all back together with all my buddy's with audis on coilovers. my springs are seated in the perches and everything it torqued. it STILL makes this horrible metal on metal noise over the smallest bumps. ride height does not affect it either. i also know its not because there vmaxx, one of the guys there has H&R coilovers and his makes the identical noise. he couldn't figure it out and just deals with it but i cant have that haha. so i did some more research and found that its most likely the springs. since there progressive rate when they flex they hit and rub on each other and make the noise, they make a wrap for silencing this noise. im going to try this and ill get back to you guys if it fixes it

It would seem that if this was really the problem, it would be more widespread. But as you've seen none of the other guys here with VMAXX have the issue.

ok i did some more reading and i found that it might be the fact that i didnt put that gold looking washer in my strut top when assembling it. nor did i torque it right. it looks like that washer serves at a alignment holder for the shock rod in the strut top. since thats not it the rod and bounce around in the top hence the metal noise, and i need to torque it properly so the bearing will spin right
