Default for those of you that went with vmaxx

so yesterday i put on some new vmaxx coilovers and all went well i thought. i torqued everything to factory spec and dropped her down and damn it was low!... to low haha my factory undersheild was dragging. so i jacked it up and stated adjusting them up what a PITA! so anyway i finally got it up and went for a test drive and its making a clunking noise in the front on every little bump i hit. i was wondering if its just the nature of the springs to make that noise since they just sit on that little plastic ring on the coilover, does anybody have the same problem with theirs or did i just forget something? all i swapped over from the old suspension is the top medal and rubber perch. i did find a washer in there that i didn't swap over i think that may be my issue? let me know how your swap went.. thanks alot guys

Hows the ride? Sounds like you may be hitting the bump stops, though i'm not sure that would "clunk"

it rides ok, i mean it still dumped pretty low its really hard to adjust them up now that there on the car, the noise sounds like metal clunking when i hit even the smallest bumps. im going to go out now and try to raise it up more and check to make sure everything is still tight.

I have no cluck sounds... (related to the vmaxx) you could be hitting the bump stop but u'd have to be hella low to be doing that... Possible Ctl arm or tierod?!

Putting her back in the air again and double checking everything has my vote

mine clunked all the time from the upper control arms hitting the top of the wheel well

Not necessarily, just the price of buying cheap coilovers.

i just raised it some and tightend everything up again and it seems like the suspension is so noisey. did you notice your suspension being noticeably louder once you lowered it? i dont know if i mentioned but when i swapped the tops over to the coilovers on the stock one there was steel washers with like a yellow coating on them i did not put them on the coils could that be an issue for movement?

oh and that rubber stop on the upper control arm is definitely hitting the metal part of the fender well
