the belt was spinning when i was cranking the car so i thought it was a spark problem! and everytime i tried to turn it over my valves were just bending and bending every single one!

 

he is right, but wrong...... there is a law that if the guy can prove that the mods you did will hurt something it can void the warrenty, but as josh said if he didn't change the tensioner, then it is his fault........ well it is it his fault no matter what..... how many cars are running around moded and have no problems?

 

I know it will change it very minimal and why would they have so many aftermarket products for so many cars and not one says oh watch your timing it could ruin your engine! its at the point i dont know what to do its sitting in the train station parking lot waiting to decide if im doing the work or if im bringing it to AUDI to do it for $2300

 

Do you know your way around an engine? If you do you should do it yourself. The VERY first engine DIY I EVER did was the timing belt! And I never had a problem with it. It's just very time consuming.
