Tein S-Tech Lowering Springs
Hi guys I am buying these off of some guy at audiworld and I am wondering if any of you have these and if so are they good? I would like some reviews and also my dad has been telling me(IM 16 lol) that they will cause my car to bottom out on speed bumps and will crack my oil pan........( Is there any truth to this?) Oh and this will be my first mod(is it hard to change out springs?) and for around 140 shipped(is this a good deal?).... Thanks alot guys/gals!

Glad to see another youngin here (im 16 as well) !!
Try to paste a link to this thread so we can see them, as far as cracking the oil pan, it depends how low they will lower your car.
Im not sure on the exact measurements you have before you need to worry about the oil pan and you suddenly enter in the "oh **** a pothole on the highway!! (thud)" category

Thats a fairly modest drop, I wouldn't worry about cracking your oil pan unless you're going over speed bumps doin like 30 like a dipsh*t. I'm told the drop will however wear out the stock dampers faster. If you're looking to keep them any amount of time i'd look into investing in a nice set of sport shocks shortly after you install the springs.

Uh yeah your stock shocks will run with them, but they wont last long, 6 months i bet. Its best to get springs while you get shocks and vice versa just so there is no short term repairs or anything immediatly following.
Also, do some research on the Tein brand. I've never heard of it, Others may have (waits for a post from a senior member..) Just make sure you dont cut corners when it comes to quality or reliability with these cars, or it'll bite ya in the ****.
Here, looks like this guy has them, ask him for advice:

KEEP THE $600 or for emergency backup cash. This whole set up will run you 600+ if you go with the name brand or like brand new ones. I dont really have an idea how hard it is (waits for a senior member to post...)
