TB/Camshaft Pulley Question
I'm in the middle of a timing belt (kit) change on a 2.8L Quattro - ordered the kit and tools from Blauparts. Everything is going great, but I ran into an issue in trying to get the camshaft pulleys off of the shaft.
Everything was lined up and the cam lock tool was in place, bolts were loosened just fine. When using the gear puller on one of the pulleys, I guess the force caused the cam to move about 2" clockwise. I can tell the whole thing moved because of the way the diamond shaped washers fit. I was able to move it all back.
Just wondering if this creates an issue or if it's all OK so long as I can get it lined back up with the locking tool able to slide in perfectly.
Thanks!

I talked to a tech service guy and apparently this happens to a few others as well. He said I can move it back via the diamond washer/locking bar and it'll be good. This is what I did already, so back to work!
Thanks!
Thanks!
