Default tax return upgrades. input needed

whats up guys. been real busy with work and my bike so im ganna spend my return to do a few things on the car. i NEED to replace the cct, im tired of the tapping. but while im in there im trying to throw a set of cams in. as well as a fmic, all piping, and a ko4. reading up on the fmic and piping ive noticed that there is a boost sensor that needs to be attached. so i cant find any piping with this attachment. and i cant find any cams, i want 272s. any links?

Why K04? Unless you got your hands on one for almost nothing, you might as well move up for the money you're going to spend. What tune are you planning on going with? Cams are going to be a waste of money with a K04. The stock heads/internals can handle way more boost/HP/Tq than you'll be able to put down with a K04.

Judging from your sig pic you have a 2001?

The sensor you're talking about is the MAP sensor. It's located on top of the stock intercooler. You're correct, you will need to relocate it when you switch to FMIC. As I recall you can buy a small section of pipe with a hole for it, or you could probably DIY if you're careful.

Well it all depends on your power goals and budget. There's a very informative thread posted in the FAQ sticky with lots of info about turbo upgrades. Take a read through that, might give you a better idea of what you're up against.

What part of VA are you in?

Cool man. Check out the link below:

https://www.audiforums.com/forum/b5-models-69/1-8t-turbo-upgrade-information-93439/

There's lots of good info in there about turbos and upgrades and such. Like I said, its all going to depend on how much power you want to make and how much cash you're willing to spend.

i guess you have an 01 since you have v-tech?....lol

go to www.ringer-racing.com and you can find all your upgrade needs... if you just want a small upgrade for fun... go ft or elim... if you want a t3/t04, i would definatly do rods and a motor build... head, and get a 3071/76 instead... but that would be in the 15-20k range.... an elim will get you about 270-300whp and only run you about 4.5k.... but with a turbo upgrade you will need a new clutch at some point
