CF hood was sold a few months ago.

i'm not painting the center of the hood gray, JUST the roof. the hood will have the washer nozzle shaved, as well as a custom boser to the stock hood.

 

Ggggotchha. I was thinking headlight nozzles, as well, so thanks for the clarification.That's gonna look clean like how you're setting that up.

 

here is a slight update.

he has begun work on the custom boser.

so i thought i'd post it up for you guys (blue laminx will come off when i get the car back)

 

ya that lamin-x is way too blue. i sprayed my headlights a tiny bit with spray tint and it looks great from far away. only problem is when you get like 3 feet away from them, they look terrible. the hood looks ok right now. did he bondo it already or is it just taped?

 

yeah, it is real blue. the only reason i left it on is since he is going to be doing bodywork and welding near the headlights, i decided to leave it on for protection until the work is complete.

as far as the boser, he's going to grind down the edge near the grill to give it a more factory look rather than as rounded as it is currently. there is no bondo on it. he just grinded the hood down to metal, then welded on and grinded down the sheetmetal extension. i'm sure once i am satisfied with the shape of the extension, he will begin to use some duraglass to smooth it all out.

 

haha grinding down that part is what i was going to say lol. i can't wait till it's all finished

alright so here we go...a few more updates!!

this is how he had originally did it, but i wanted it to flow a little better


so he grinded down some of the metal, and here is where it stands now

i'd love to but the car is 2 hours away

still alot of work left to do on it too. much of it is respraying parts, other than the roof and trunk which will be shaved
