supsension/lowering question
#11
The only way I am going to lower my car is on a set of FK Supersports or KonigSports. If I ever justify spending 1k+ all at one time (see I don't use credit cards yet, so when I buy something it is all cash on hand, makes spending 700+ dollars a little more difficult)
as for the sport suspension off a junkyard car, you might have better luck keeping an eye on the classifieds and waiting for someone that is upgrading to sell theirs cheap to someone.

well it honestly depends on the year
anybody else from the boise would back me up on this
the amount of snow we get is usually not a lot but when it does come
it usually comes down pretty good
so yeah i probably will just because i love my car to much to have something break on it
and im only 18 so ive got a lot of time to do fun stuff with my car

if i could do "go fast mods" i would
but i own a 12v
and that is not so mod friendly
but thank you for your input
i love sleepers to there the best when you roll up to a car
that looks like a total peice of junk
and it destroys you
its funny and i just give them props

imho, the X3 is a much better car than the X5. The X3, the Germans had people come in to build this car. SPECIFICALLY this car. The X5 is hawt, do doubt. Anyway.. I went bilstein shocks and oem springs. It sits significantly lower, while providing a bit better handling. Once I get the springs on there, she should be damn good to go. My suggestion, if you're looking for just "ride height" then do the shocks. I think mines lowered about 2-2.5" all around. It has a classy look, yet still supporting the "lowered" status.

get Konis. i have them and love them, dont go with a spring and shock set-up. go with coilovers, in the winter you can raise it back up to stock ride height and in the summer you can drag ***.....
anyway, sometimes you can find a good deal on coilovers, i got mine for $500. just be patient and shop around they dont have to be brand new.
