My sunroof is completely open and completely stuck. It is all the way back, and will not budge an inch. When i attempt to use the dial is tries to move, but attempts and then stops. I can not even crank it manually (i think i have almost broke the allen wrench i am trying so hard).

I can actually see the headliner moving when it attempts to move. I am guessing it is completely off the track of something along the lines of that.

Do I need to drop the liner to get a better look at it? Any help would be really appreciated (before it rains.....).

hey. i am having the same problem with my sunroof on my 96 a4. i am trying to figure out how to fix it. i managed to get mine closed but with alot of manual force. i just grabbed the glass and pulled when closing. if you find out any info maybe you can help me out and i will do the same.
