Stock car comes with 4300K as it is the closest to daylight/sun output of light.
Also when buying HID's, consider the watt/luminosity. The higher watts tend to wash out the color more. So if you're looking for 4300K look and you're buying a 55W HID kit, you best get the 5000K or even 6000K to get the color closest to 4300K.

Check the luminosity charts Rod - 4300k is around 3200 lumens of output, and they fall off the higher you go. Even 8000k is significantly brighter than halogens (which are about 750 lumens) but you're getting pretty far into the blue spectrum even there.
