Stupid Window Regulator...
I was driving down the road today and decided to roll down the window to enjoy the sun. The driver side front window had been making some complaints lately but i just thought it may need some lubrication. so when i lowered it it made a nice crack and now i cant get it to come back up. i've done some research on it and it is definitely the window regulator. so here's my question: is there any way that i can get the window up for the time being? i live in a sketchy neighborhood and people may mess with my car if they see the window is down.

If it's the front door your in lick! When I bout my a4 a few weeks ago three windows were unmoveable! Here's what you do to put it up! Take the door panel off. Push the window up and push the up button at the same time to get it up. When it's all the way up zip tie the window mounts to the door frame! That way you don't do permanent damage.
The order a window regulator on eBay! All you need is the green bracket that's part of the window mount holding the glass in place! You can disconnect all the cables from the door and frame, remove the mirror, then unbolt the four tourque screws on the frame (2 on each side, big can't miss em). At that point you can lift up the door frame glass and all, flip it over and you'll see the broken piece! Switch it with the part off the other regulator! And do the rest in reverse!
It's simple and there should be no reason to take the whole regulator off!
I know this is a rough description but I'm typing on my I phone!
I'll try to post pics for you! It's super easy!

Kind of a mod so you dont have to buy the whole regulator for one part! I bought my regulator for 50$ on ebay so keep looking till you find the right price and save yourself the 600$ for some jerk to fix it!
