Stupid F@#!'ing Audi hose clamps!

I've tried a variety of methods. So far using a dremel to grind off the little hook and pop it open has proven to be the quickest.

I also concur on the dremel. A decent pair of wire cutters (i use kleins) works pretty well. And they do make crimp/cut tool for the clamps. I saw a pair a the local "home center" a while back in the plumbing section. Looked ideal for the audi clamps. I regret not picking them up at the time.

There are several tools available that make the process easy. Why do they do it? To drive the DIY guys crazy

Use a flat head to pop the end up and out of the hook clips holding it down.

Yeah I learned about this method Sunday when installing my 710n, if you have room to get the screwdriver at the right angle it actually works pretty well!
