Limp mode is around 7 or 8 psi? It felt somewhat normal, not excruciatingly slow like I figured limp mode would be. You may be right though, I don't have that much experience with these things.

I've also noticed the boost comes in kind of inconsistently, feels like it's hesitating. A problem with the N249 valve I'm guessing?
Could be a 249 valve issue. You might want to try bypassing it and hooking up your bpv directly to the hose on the front of the intake manifold.

That wouldn't trigger a CEL? If so, is there any way to keep it from doing so?

i think i know your problem... well atleast i had this same problem as you...

i dont understand why this would cause thi (please fill me in if you know!)

but my boost gauge hose was kinked kinda and it lost a few psi i didnt think anything of it, alls that hallepend was car ran a little blurpy? like i felt a chugging in the throttle ever so slightly, and then it got kinked a lot worse somehow and when its kinked like this i only get about 5-8 psi and car runs really inconsistantly like there are blurps in the throttle or something

so i re routed my boost hose and im running strong again and no hesitation!

I don't think I have any kinks in the boost gauge line though, I just installed the thing. I didn't use the supplied tubing though, I used some left over silicone vacuum line I had left over, looks like the same inside diameter though.

I think I do have the same problem as you, it does chug a little bit upon acceleration and when I let off the gas. I think it could be related to other vacuum hoses within the boost system, as most of mine were deteriorated. I replaced the ones I could tell were bad, but need to dig deeper to be sure I got them all. I think it's probably what Mike said, the N249 valve.

What do you mean by you re-routed your boost hose?

Another update to my problem: I broke traction in 1st and my boost wouldn't exceed 8 psi until I started the car again.
