Stereo fitment.

Stereo fitment.
Basically im going to be getting a Audi A4 2.8Ltr Quattro 1998 in few days. I have an aftermarket stereo already lined up for it. I've been trying to find out how to install one and what is needed as apparently its complicated due to the boss system and stock amp in back?
Can someone tell me a step by step how to fit an aftermarket stereo? and what harnesses and adaptors are needed? Pictures would be a bonus!
Also another quick question, is installing a subwoofer and amp simple as it is to most cars or is it tricky as the sound system already in the car is a bitch?
Cheers

Well I had an entire reply written out, but it didn't submit... great....
Here is a list of everything you'll need...
Harnesses:
Receiver Wiring Harness For select 1994-07 Audi and Porsche vehicles at Crutchfield.com
Dash kit:
Autoleads FP-05-00
20' power wire (run through ECU box to below dash in cabin)
ground wire
20' remote and RCA wire (you will have to get an RCA y-splitter if your headunit only has two pairs of outputs)
I don't feel like writing everything out *again* but if you need help I'll do my best!
*this assumes you're keeping stock amp and speakers for normal sound
