Default Steering question?

ok so in friday it was snow out and i was driving to school. everything running normal. then i take a turn the car slides the front driverside tire smashes into the side walk. the steering was way off if going 40mph or faster it sounded like something was rubbing. so we took the car into the shop that after noon. got new snow tires on and an alignment. picked the car up saturday new tires on and drove it home. took it to school today again and on the way home i turned all music and sound off. when driving it sounds like a weird humming noise, not sure if its due to the new tires. and the steering seems to be feeling weird. seems like it doesnt turn back on its own( the the center) after taking turns or its over sensative. idk just wondering if there is anything i can check. shop said the alignment was way off could a guessed that after bouncing off the sidewalk. but they didnt seem to mention anything else.

Maybe they didn't look very hard. You should look to make sure any suspension components aren't bent.

like turtle said look closer and take some pix for us. i've done the same thing but i didn't bounce off the curb. jack up that side and see if you can shake the wheel. if you can check out what wiggles. look at the rubber boots and bushings. they shouldn't shake more than 2mm or make any noise while you shake it

winter tires are often louder and you could have a bad wheel bearing but neither of those should explain steering problems
