Steering angle sensor? (G85)
I recently lowered my car and had to take my car to get aligned. They were able to get everything to spec except my front camber. They said that they didn't want to adjust it since it would require a reset of the steering angle sensor and they don't have a VAG communicator to do so. I wanted to make sure before I take it back so they can adjust the front camber since it would count as being under my alignment warranty.
So does my 1998 A4 1.8t Quattro have this sensor? (G85) Part of the ESP system.

They don't want to move the from camber to even both sides out because they say the steering angle sensor will need to be reset. They even gave me a print out of the instructions they had. It also has the S4 listed, so it seems to me that it may just apply to the S4 and not my model A4.

Do you have an esp button, light (if i remember right, the light is a triangle with a circular arrow around it)?? If not you dont have a steering angle sensor, if you do you can calibrate it after the alignment: Ross-Tech: VAG-COM: ESP Steering Angle Sensor Calibration
