stage 2 or stock clutch
ok so here is the deal my clutch is being gay lost tension on the pedal and car is not going into gear. tried bleeding the clutch about 5 - 10 times and nothing so there is no air on the lines. then replaced both the slave and master cyl. and still no go on the gears so at this point im pretty sure my clutch is gone!!!
my question is should i replace with a stock clutch or invest on a stage 2 clutch. i havent done any work on the car but planning on chipping, intake, turbo back, and DV.
not gonna go over 260bhp. car is a b5 1.8t manual 98.5 sitting on 113k
any suggestions or ideas. and any site where i can get good and cheap clutches
thanks!!!!

ok if you havnt done any recent work on your car before this happened, the only reason air could have possibly gotten in there is if the fluid was empty, or if you had a leak. assuming your not dumb enough to let it run out of fluid, bleeding the system is not going to help if you have a leak so im not sure why you did that.
also if there was air in your clutch there would be most likely be air in the brakes since they use the same fluid reservoir. you probably spent a whole bunch of money on a master and slave cylinder that you didnt have to. pm mike@dth on the forum and tell him you need a clutch, he will hook you up.
a word of advice: your going to hate your car after a year or two if you use the "just replace stuff 'till it works" method of fixing it. you will think the car is a money pit. the name of the game with audi is diagnostics. you need to figure out the exact problem before you even pick up a wrench, narrowing it down as much as possible with save you alot of money.
