SS brake lines

im changing the lines to stainless steel... the bolt im talking about it the one that connects the flex line to the caliper for the rear brakes.
ya all the diy's ive seen must have been on quattros cause they all say its just like the front

That's the ONLY brake hose I haven't touched, I've messed with all the other ones in the rear though. What's different about it? The other ones in the rear seemed pretty standard, 13mm (I think) wrench took 'em right off.

ya its a 13 but im trying to figure the easiest way to do it. it wont come out if the caliper is bolted on.. there isnt enough clearance for the bolt to come out and i dont want to disconnect the e-brake cable

alright so its all done but something doesn't feel right... maybe its just cause the rotors and pads are new and need to bed but the pedal feels almost like it did before i changed anything. gets firm at the same spot as before. is that where it always is by default or is there something im missing? one the first drive, without touching the brakes at all the brake light blinked a coule times and the abs light came on and beeped... then turned off by itself all within about 2 seconds.... was weird

When I did my pads and rotors the braking felt soft for the first week or so, and I did Hawk HPS pads all around. As for the brake pedal position, there's no reason why it would change from how it was before, considering that the resting gap between the piston and pads should be about the same no matter the thickness of the rotor/pads.
Do you have VAG-COM or know someone with it to scan your ABS module to see if any fault codes are stored? If the light went away then I dunno that you need to worry.

for some reason i thought the pedal would get stiffer like be harder to press after bleeding, guess ill have to wait a week to see if i can see a performance difference in braking. theres an aamco nearby that does scanning for free... ill run it by there tomorrow and see if anything shows up for codes but so far im like "wheres the cream filling" for braking performance but hope it gets better
