I used some on my door as well and it's held up nicely. Dragon's right though, WD-40 is very volatile by design, so odds are it won't last very long.

That's pretty surprising to me, but use something better when it starts squeaking again. WD-40 will also allow more wear on any friction surfaces since it is not a very good lubricant. White lithium grease is more appropriate.

well i didnt know where the squeak was coming from so i just sprayed everywhere in the hinges hahaha
