Their site leave much to be desired for sure...one of the reasons why Im relying (heavily) on the community for feedback.
Ive read about the TB needing time to adjust but not sure on whether it needs to be vag'd afterwards or not? Also, if God forbid the flash craps, am I screwed or is there a way to reflash the original setup (Im guessing Dealership)?

Oh well, +1 for giac then, right?
Seriously though, its a small operation. Not a lot of funds for advertising or making a very detailed web site, I guess. You can't judge the chip based on the limited info they give, and it is limited for sure. Gotta rely on peoples individual experiences to get a rounded idea..
Honestly, if anyone ever has a problem from the group (audiforums) with all the business he's gotten, i believe he would do anything in his power to make it right. The TB doesnt adapt to the chip. The only thing that adapts is fuel trims, and that usually takes several drive cycles and you might notice a fluttery idle while this is happening. There is no reason for the dealer to reflash your ecu unless you are having big time troubles, like unexplainable no starts, unexplainable stalling, etc. Sometimes there are updates, but im pretty sure they are done with b6 updates.

Is it worth switching from giac to ST? What does it offer that is better?
#35
No it's not worth it. They both do the same thing. GIAC is great, so is ST. ST just happens to cost less. If you already have GIAC then there is no reason to go ST. Everyones experience and description of the affects are a little different so don't let anything you read make you want to jump ship. All k03 chips do pretty much the same thing.

Yeah a test pipe might happen down the road. I'm sick of putting money into the 97 for the time being though. I'll get back into it in the spring. I went the test pipe route with the 00, sort of want to see how I feel about a gutted cat even though it might not flow as smoothly.
