Got mine today as well, and am a 2.8'r too. I've noticed about the same, much smoother acceleration, definitely can see the torque increase too. Where I used to sit at 2200 rpms in 5th going 45 mph, I now sit at about 1900. Jumps off the line a lot better too, must be more of a torque gain on the low end than I had expected cuz I can certainly feel a much stronger pull on launches. Hopefully by the end of my driving tonight I'll be closer to the end of the break in period of 50-100 miles and will see more improvement, but for now I'd say I'm pretty satisfied.

Well now I feel like a hypocrite. This chip is the sheeznit. The whole time I felt like I wasn't going faster, I was. It's just so damn smooth. The car should have driven like this from stock. Reminds me of a BMW(don't laugh). Somehow I think the engine is quieter and runs cooler than before. Is that possible? Now there's power throughout the rpm range and no top off after 4000 rpms like before. It also helps me shift and accelerate smoother with less jerk. Money well spent on my Daddy wagon.

Would one of these chips do much to a 1.8 no turbo 2000 manual transmission A4?

And are they tricky to put in, as in i live in ireland, could i get it mailed out and install it myself?

Harsh. I don't think they've written up a program for a na 1.8 as that model may only be aval in YOUR area. Check with Upsolute and see if they have something.
