Default speedtuning

just got the ecu back today from speed tuning, i send it tuesday with 2 day express mail and it got back today...was really surprised. love it tho im peaking around 19-20psi definately alot better than the neuspeed chip i had in there before. havent been able to really get on it because the fastest speedlimit around here is 35. but i wanted to say im really pleased with the results and cant wait to take it on the back mountain roads...as soon as we get gas up here :/

Wow, I didn't realize speedtuning could put you as high as 19-20 psi. I was under the impression that since their chips are on the more inexpensive side compared to APR or GIAC that they were not as good. My APR chip has me pushing 1 bar (~15 psi), but now I feel like I may have made a poor choice.

Do you have boost gauge or are those numbers what are claimed by speed tuning?

i got in on the GB too and those numbers sound about right, speedtuning's chip was a 1 bar chip. im boosting 17-18 psi on mine, hes got manual idk is maybe he gets a few psi more because of that or what but it seems right to me

boost guages vary sadly....autometer runs really high and VDO runs about a psi low....

my speed tuning on my VDO spikes at 18 and holds around 16....on my autometer it was way higher...it may just be the sport comp series, but I have had 3 that all read the same....

glad you like the chip....I have had it for 6 months and now it feels slow again...time for a bigger turbo!

Great to hear! Speedtuning claims 1.1 bar which is 15ish psi which would be on par with APR. Not everyone experiences the same result though wether its from APR, GIAC or whoever else including Speedtuning. 15-20psi is fair. Cant wait to get my ecu back from them!

my neuspeed was pushing 9 until i got an aftermarket dv then it held at 14 in all gears. i got the apr r1 diverter valve and a VDO boost gauge, and today when i pulled in second it peaked at about 19 and held not much lower then that maybe like 18ish, but it was definitely closer to 20 than it was 15.

Glad to hear positive feedback. I'm waiting on mine too. These ECU upgrades shouldn't cost as much as others are charging. It's just bits of data and the R&D has been done a long time ago and it's almost a cartel where these companies have kept their prices high (until now). Good to know that competition brings more value to the customer.

Yeah I got mine today as well. Even though I'm running the chip
with the stock DV and peaking at 12psi, the car feels amazing.
The turbo is much louder as well as the DV. Should be getting
710N soon and hopefully boosting more.

I was happy to pay the $500 a few years ago for GIAC, but lets face it, chips have become childs play when looking at how far along things have come with flash loading and other more recent advancements in ecu tuning.
