I saw a thread a while back, someone tinted just the organge part of their 96/97 tails. Anyone got a pic of that? I can't find it.

 

just smoke em and no one will know....

 

I've never been a fan of smoked tails... But the orange might have to go.

 

I did mine they looked pretty sweet but my car is black so it goes...

 

what u use to smoke them? i bought that black vinyl film on ebay and it was horrible.

 

I used flat black paint and then covered it with clear coat get some laquer thinner so you can wipe off the mistakes... if you not that cofortable with spaypaint there will be mistakes.

I used a 12v bulb to check how dark it would be every so often.

I too tried the vinyl crap...with poor results

 

yea, i had green vinyl on my revese lights and it made me fail my inspection for being too dim... i peeld off the vinyl and they passed me

 

I was gonna buy a cheap set to switch out for inspection... but never got around to it
