Sp51x Upgrade
As the titel tells I´m going to upgrade my K03-005 turbo to either a K03-SP51R witch should be able to produce 220hp or K04-SP51X 250+hp.
If I upgrade to the K03-Sp51R I will recieve the the turbo internals and will be able to change these myself. Price: 615$.
If I upgrade to the K04-SP51X I will have to send my turbo away to be reworked to fit the larger internals. Price:965$
I will get my car custom mapped in both cases.
At the moment I'm leaning towards the K04 option the other one seams to be a waste of money. Now to the questions:
-When will I have to change the MAF and to what?
-When will I have to change injectors/FPR?
-Anything else that should be changed?
Mod at the moment:
-2.5" cat-back
-tuningchip
-openfilter

which motor are we talking about?...is it an AEB?
Im guessing that it is an aeb...you can run a PC-16 file from GIAC...

Yep AEB motor.
As I live in Finland I don't think the GIAC chips will work so i think a custom re-map is the only way to go =(
I kind of figured that I will need these things but I wanted to know how much HP the stock parts can produce.
What FPR/injectors should be used?
Will the stock cat flow good enough?

Well I have the SP51x Outlaw version on the K05-15 turbo which got fitted Monday and on my K03s chip is mad. This thing boost to 24+ psi without any issues (still trying to tame it with my EBC).
I'm shocked at the price hike as I only paid $650 + shipping $725 but hay thing are crazy right now.
I will be running all of the above but will be going with a custom map and SB Stage III. I'm hopping to have the final setup running by the first week of next month as I have a track day challenge with my friend running my turbo with just an exhaust, clutch and a custom map on his FWD A4 with 243bhp.

I think the price differance is because they will be re-machining my K03 to K04 specs. The basic upgrade is the K03-SP51R option which is 550$.
What kind of mod are you running with the outlaw? And what kind of hp numbers are you expecting when you get it re-mapped?
I'm thinking of getting:

I will be running 380 Semen’s injectors, 2.75" exhaust, 3" S3/225TT MAF, Racetec FMIC, Profec B II EBC and SB III Clutch. I'm expecting around 260-270bhp mark once mapped.
