I'm tempted to lock this thread before god starts shooting lightning bolts at the AF servers...

Don't cut springs, cut shocks. It's rice when you cut springs but all the big boys are cutting shocks.

See where I'm headed with this?

I thought the proper thing was to heat the springs and let the weight of the car squish them down a bit...

And I'm definitely doing the cut shocks mod next!

Holy smokes, don't do any of that!

All kidding aside, don't do any of that.

Edit: It's funny how cut springs are frowned upon usually, except when done right.

A la Mike Burroughs.

Go figure!

Yeah I was actually referring to that car, plus yes I read it "can" be done right.
Yes ricers did it wrong and gave the cut springs a bad rap, but it was a valid method back in the day.
Yeah it was a honda I pulled the color as an example, but the thread I saw it on had Vw's and other cars too. I remember Kriptonic having a sig pic (with Mr. Phil and another audi) a while back with the stock 15's highlighter yellow, and that's what I got the idea from. I swear I got the reject a4 (wrong color, automatic, 2wd)

Edit: I'm getting Vmaxx Coilovers after this semester, so I guess ill just stick with that, since cuttings hated on so much. I'll just grab some b6 wheels and leave em stock

Wrong color yes, autofantastic I like to call it and FWD is a shame.

I do enjoy brightly colored wheels though, I should clarify that. It's just hard on silver.

I saw a guy on AZ paint his wheels green like that and put a monster energy drink sticker on his car... he re-painted them to black and took the sticker off in a week.
