^ well depends on the flywheel u get. mike@dth sells a kit that has a $400 flywheel, along with the $450 stage 3 clutch is about $850.

southbend is way better then spec from what people have previously said on this site.

ImTheDevil has over 160k on his stock clutch. he's a sissy driver and so was the previous owner.

ya southbend has a better rep. i estimate labor to be around 600 at least for a shop to do it so subtract it accordingly for your buddy doing it. make sure you get the throwout bearing too

you should change the pilot bearing and the release bearing(throwout) along with the frction(clutch) disc and the pressure plate depending on the condition of the flywheel it may need to be resurfaced or a new one installed you can also spend less money by going with a stage 1 or 2 you don't have to jump right to the stage three expecially if you don't really want to change the daily driving charecturistics

That does suck. I feel your pain. I ran out of free AAA services thanks to my unreliable pos. It's been in the shop more than 6 times in the past month. It's there now for a new steering rack/ power steering pump. I've yet to have the car for a full week since I bought it.
