Yup, I can. The problem is that after it's lined up and i start to thread the bolt, what ever I'm threading it into (nut, clip, bracket, or something) inside the radiator support moves around.

JonBonesJones,
myguess is that it's aftermarket. I looked at the ETKA for all the 99 and 99.x (B5, B5.5, and B5.51) engines and none of them have a round cage.

GOT IT!

I went back out today with my lone 13mm combo wrench w/ ratcheting closed end.

It looked the 1st couple threads of the nut (or whatever) were slightly damaged. When I put the bolt in and spun the threads didn't catch. So, I put the nut in, put the closed end of the wrench on the head, and pressed on the head of the nut.

I pressed on the head of the nut until it backed into something and while I still had pressure on it I just spun the sh** out of it until it caught. The first couple threads must've been damaged because it was stiff at first but after I got it started it was smooth again.

#WIN!

As a side note, if I ever have to replace that snub mount again I'm taking the front end off so I don't have to undo that nut!

Thanks for the replies guys-

jones, i have the 034 solid snub mount, and the cage mine came with has a round section for the snub mount to sit flush in and doesnt allow for any movement. seem familiar?
