60 Cents, it comes off whenever I want with the flick of a knife, and it looks just as good IMO.

Everyone who has seen it in person has had no idea how it was done and thought it looked good. Someone asked me where I bought those tail lights actualy.

wow

i cant believe this...first time you wash it your screwed..
Are you serious? You do realize that nylon is comprised of plastic so it does not absorb water or anything else... thats the reason for using them. I put water on them and they we're not affected. They are also pretty durable.

wow, u already tols us the first one you put on tore...your an idiot
OK well the first pair tore because I caught them on something sharp so yes if you plan on taking a samurai sword to your tail lights I would worry about it, although I would also worry about your tail lights.
I would also prefer NOT to be called an idiot and I am rather offended by your close minded slander.
I'll be sure never to "tols" you anything else.

Thats pretty cool, I would have never of thought of that. I want to tint my tails very slightly, but I'm in no rush, I'm also not sure if I'd go the pantyhose route but it's good to know it's an option.

Enjoy the new look and thanks for sharing.

Haha yeah thats pretty much what I said when my friend told me about it... I had to think about it but I figured it wouldn't hurt to see what it looked like. I pretty much like it (could be lighter).

I'm surprised AudiForums is so close minded to innovation and independent thought. After all, it was your AWD system that NO ONE BELIEVED would work that pushed Audi through it's successful racing career. Innovation.

Come on you guys. I can't believe you cuss on innovation so readily. You can smoke a taillight with Laminex, but it bubbles and looks brown, and it changes the light output to have a nasty brown tint. You can spray a taillight with tint, but you have to use Acetone to remove it. Acetone is known to be detrimental to plastic, which your taillights are made of. Pantyhose slides on, and is removed with no damage to the OEM part. It also doesn't collect water, since it is nylon. Due to the nature of pantyhose (woven threads instead of a solid) it allows light to escape between the threads at the original color and intensity.

I thought you guys were better than that. I say props and good job with a new idea.
