Skid plate?help. something wrong need advice.
I literally know about nothing about cars, dont ask why i bought an audi.. Went to get an oil change, havea 96. 2.8quattro. Bought in in july, was in shop till last week. Has not had an oil change since 2002 im guessing due to no mileage from 2002-2009. I went to get an oil change and they told me they cant get the skid plate off.. is this a major problem?any ideas?

No man its really rusted I guess. they afraid it wont go back on. This car was a rust box to a degree. It sat for years but my retarded *** still bought it. All lights were blown, fuses were fucked, radio doesnt work, power locks are eh hit or miss, the engine crattle was rotted and wouldnt pass inspection so had to get fixed, 2 02 sensors got replaced, then another one i busted..still not inspected but drivable for 60 days. but def needs an oil change just no idea how to get this done, if i should get a new plate or not?no idea

Go for it man if the bolts snap off oh well its just a little more work for you. Get a thread loosening lubricant and spray that on let it penetrate and soak. Hopefully that will eat up the rust that is binding it. If it snaps off then you can always drill out the old and rethread it and put new bolts on.
