Default Shaking at low RPM's

2001 a4 1.8t quattro

oil changed 1500 miles go with synthetic and new oil filter
sea foamed the oil and intake 1500 miles ago
lucus gas treatment 1500 miles ago
ngk laser platnum spark plugs 1/6/13
bg 44k gas treatment 1/7/13

I changed the spark plugs do to feeling the car shave very lightly, after a test drive it drove fine, a day later after starting it up and warm up for 10-15 minutes it was still shaking and half way to work it stars shakaing like crazy and the CEL started flashing, i got to work, went and got some bg 44k to hopefully clean the fuel injectors.

does anyone have any other ideas that it might be? I'll be getting the CEL read after work.

Defintiely scan the ECU for fault codes.

Sounds like it could be misfiring (based on the flashing CEL). How old are your spark plugs and what is the gap on them?

I'd hold off on the injector cleaner until you can determine that the spark plugs aren't at fault.

Could also be an air leak.

If it's a 2.8 it could be the spark plug wires or a coil. If it's a 1.8 it could be a coil pack.

That gap is correct as long as you're not chipped. Did you verify with a gapper that the gap is actually .032" or just go with the claim that they're already gapped?

Next, get a code scan and post the results or we're all just basically sitting around guessing.

after having the ecu read, it says i have a misfire in cylinder 2 and 4, i went home and tried a few things but what i left off was re-gapping all the spark plugs back to .022 which is what they came as and now the only codes im throwing are a misfire in cylinder 1 and a random misfire.

.022" is wrong and if ghats what it takes to run, you've got deeper issues to sort out.

originally the plugs i bought (mentioned in the 1st post) were supposed to be gapped .032 but came .022. the ngk website said for my car needs to be .032 so i thought i had to gap them to that, but after reading it sounds like they should have been gapped .032 from the beginning and after contacting a ngk tech he stated the same thing.

but now that i've re-gapped them down the only codes are for a misfire in cylinder 1 and another code for random misfires.

is it odd at all that after installing the spark plugs, it drove fine but the next morning while half way to work it started shaking and started throwing the CEL?

Misfires can be caused by more than just the ignition system. Air leaks can also cause them, among other things. See if you can perform a boost leak test or a vacuum leak test or have somebody perform one. You can also visually look for cracked hoses and what-not.
