LMAO DEVIL this brings back so many memories...
I can honestly say that thanks to you I can do it on my own now. Its very simple actually but you have to take proper steps otherwise you will be left with extra parts laying around.

Okay so I finished the serpentine belt tensioner and new belt replacement. All and all not too hard but took around 2.5 hours (could do it a lot faster next time).
I don't think I could have done the tensioner replacement just by removing the electric radiator fan (like the DIY writeup on audiworld) to gain working space.
The bumper had to come off and I followed the steps to put the front end in the service position, without disconnecting the radiator hoses. Gives you about 3-4 inches of extra space, which is plenty.
The only thing I wish I had paid attention to beforehand is that you need a good quality T45 torx bit to remove the bumper shocks. Had to run over to Home Depot to get one.

Just had mine go on the way to work.
Started with a rattle on start up and idling. Then today a plastic hitting plastic type sound - made it 2 miles to the indy shop with the belt coming off 1/2 way there.
2.5 hours of labor sound right? They are pulling the bumper.

I just got my tensioner today....i quickly attempted to replace it without moving the bumper...FAIL. Stupid Haynes manual never mentioned anything about having to put the bumper in service position so I figured it would just slip out.
I almost got my 10mm allan key stuck with the torque wrench in there (as i was unscrewing it, the very little gap i had was getting smaller as the bolt unscrews) haha.
It reminded me of this picture
It is so close to coming out, if only i can remove the electric fan out of the way. Is there any way this can be done without having to re-adjust the bumper?
