Default Seafoam for low oil pressure light...

Has anyone cured their low oil pressure light with seafoam in the crankcase? I seafoamed my 97 with 0w-40 in it after dealing with the light for a few days and it seems to be coming on less. I don't have the setup to pull the pan and fix it and funds as of now don't allow me to take it into the shop. I do not have any odd engine noise (yet) out of it either.

I have the low oil pressure light too. I've added oil and checked the dipstick level and it's fine. It's annoying because it's taking up my info cluster and I cant see temp and MPG and stuff.

Anyone else know what to do?

It may clean out the engine a bit, but I doubt it solves your problem. Change the sensor if it's not that you have a series problem and should park the car haha.

It's annoying because it's trying to tell you to stop driving and pay attention to the warning telling you you're destroying the motor. Unless it's the switch or wiring to it, but you should've checked that the second that light came on.

Don't risk the low oil pressure light issue with any temporary fix. De sludge the engine.
Drop the oil pan, clean it up and put on a new pickup tube. Use synthetic and change every 3k mi.
I lost a turbo due to starving because of this problem and a short term fix.

check the oil level and the pump. also check the filter (clogged). this may solve the problem.

I was gonna say, seems like a bad oil pump could also be the culprit.

If your short on cash, go to a junkyard with a couple sockets and wrenches.
