Seafoam just in gas tank- same results?

When you feed it through the gas tank, all it does is act like a fuel line cleaner. When you feed it through the oil, it cleans the sludge buildup. When you feed it through the vac, you let it sit in the cylinders which cleans out any build up in the cylinders and valves. They all do a different thing and putting it just in the gas will not be nearly the same. But since you have so many miles on it, I would not reccoment using it at all. Your engine is so old that the rings may be worn and sit the way they should, if you seafoam through your vac, you might mess up the positioning and cause more harm than good. Same with your oil, everything is worn in the way it should be, I wouldnt use it.

if you do it, you should use a third can through each system... youre mechanic is wrong. Putting it in the crankcase (oil cap), cleans out everywhere that oil goes. Putting it in the pcv system cleans out the intake system. And in the fuel tank cleans out fuel lines and injectors mostly... Three very different systems and all equally as important to keep clean and clear.
If you do 33% in each of the 3 systems, then where does the final 1% go? lol

I've only had a chance to seafoam through my intake manifold and through the gas tank, but not yet through my oil cause i have a thousand more miles before my next oil change. But I ended up gettin a 3.5 bump in mpg.

dumb question but... where exactly should i put the seafoam in the vac system? the oil and gas are pretty straight forward, I am new to my audi and there are a butt load of vac hoses under the hood!!! a pic would be nice
