sandblasting??? need help
ok so i was thinking about sandblating my rims so that i will be able to paint them. just wondering if anyone has any personal experience with sandblasting. i was planning on renting a sandblaster from a local rental shop. but have a couple questions. i hear that crushed walnut shells are best for alloy wheels...is this true? and also can all sandblasters use any kind of media. or do i need a certain nozzle or blaster in order to use crushed walnut media?
thank you for any help

well the sandblaster we have at our shop uses actual sand... walnut shells are great, but impact harder... so be carefull if ur gonna go that route, as far as the nozzle im not sure cuz we havent changed out the media since ive been there... let me/us know how it goes... im thinking baout throwing my rims in there too lol
