S4 suspension on A4?
I have 98 A4 AWD, i want to upgrade to 2001 S4 suspension cause there is a local guys selling his, so my question is will it fit? and how much should i pay for those S4 Suspension low miles been told around 25K. Thanks

Yes it will fit, but the ride height might not be level. We put my old S4 suspension on my buddies A4 and the front was a little high because it was designed to hold up a much heavier engine. If you have a 2.8L, then i think it would look pretty good.

Yup, on a 1.8T they will sit a little higher up front and feel stiffer. For used coils and shocks, I'd pay no more than $400 for anything over a year of use. For around $1000 you can get some very good coilovers though.
Also, if you're getting the bigger S4 brakes (or A8 rotors...) might want to make sure they'll clear your wheels, esp if you have 15"s.

What! For used shocks and springs, I'd say $120. I see complete S4 suspensions for that or much less on craigslist quite often.

You'll love it. I now have a line on S-line struts to go with my S4 springs (which are currently on non-sport struts), and I can't wait to put them in. The S4 springs on non-sport struts bring the car down about an inch at each corner. With the sport struts, the fenders will sit about an inch off the tires, which is exactly what I want.
As to what Hiwords said about the road feel of my car, I agree - now the ride is where I'd expect it to be for a German sport sedan - it feels more Teutonic and less Japanese-luxury

Giggity. If they're $120, do it all day long. I never checked what they were selling for, so I just threw out a guess assuming it would be over 1K at the dealer and you'd pay under half for used.

I'd definitely jump on an S4 setup at that price - no hesitation whatsoever. Problem is, my area sucks and there are only a couple S4s around here, and none of them seem eager to part with their suspension. I guess I could "test drive" one of the S4s that are for sale, and do a quick swap at home...
