Question Rough start cold weather

Hi everyone. I have a 1998 Audi A4 1.8T that I drive in our NY winters. I usually put the car on the road in October. It seems every year when the weather get cold I get a rough start and idle is way off (up and down) for about a min until the car warms up. Last year it was a constant battle to keep it running. I want to get ahead of it this year. Last year I replaced parts to help this. Plugs, coils, coolant temp sensor. I've heard some topics about the MAF sensor causing this. Is this possible? I do have a CEL right now and will get the codes for this tomorrow. Just wanted some knowledgeable input on this before I start throwing more parts at it. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!
