Default Retro fitting a VDU....

Hi guys, I have just bought a '96 1.9tdi without the fancy display in the vdu. Is there any way of fitting a dash with the display in the VDU, and if so is there any step by step guides showing how its done and what i need?

Many Thanks
George

Good luck finding a vdu with a working LCD haha. I dont know, my guess is maybe, but im not sure if the ecu knows what to do by itself. Note: your mileage will be wrong if you can/do, which might not go well if you decide to sell it down the road

You can always just claim the correct milage on the title and be sure to tell the next buyer about it if you sell. At least that's what we do here in NJ.
You shouldn't let mileage discourage you from trying the swap.
