Repair price question.
#4
after going to 4 different shops the highest being $425 just to replace the flex pipe and the lowest which im going with is $190 plus tax to repair the flex pipe plus $65 if I wanna get it aligned there too. The guy was really really nice and im really happy bout that, the most expensive place the guy was a douche. It took him 45 mins to lift my car and take a look at it and told me the whole thing is done for, no one sells after market parts for that car, someone tried to repair it before and did the worst job possible which helped destroy it, and he had to buy a new one from the dealership... but now its all good

ECS sells the flex pipes. couple of tips for the shops, they shouldn't expand the piping of the flex pipes at all and they shouldn't try a fill weld job. tell them to get as close to the right length as possible by cutting the flex pipe. from experience my flex pipe piping was expanded and they tried a fill weld job, needless to say my flex pipes are now toast after 2 years. i'd give him a good tip and tell him to please follow those instructions.
