Default Removing clear piece on instrument cluster

Today I put in chrome trim rings and got fingerprints and a scratch on the inside on the clear plastic. Does anyone know of a way to get the clear piece off of the cluster housing so I can buff it and clean it? Thanks a ton!

I think there are tabs around the cluster to seperate it... But......... If you were able to get finger prints on the inside, how are you unable to get back in there either with your fingers or some sort of probing tool with a cloth attached to clean it?

I also have the same issue, but the scratches / prints / some smudges / whateverthehellthepreviousownerputonit were there when i got the car. Do i have to remove the cluster first? is there a DIY that can help me or something? Btw, onepoint, i love the look of the all red lit cluster, how did you do that?

Thats just what 96-99 clusters look like. Some 99.5 have either red or white and 00+ is white.
