Default removal of lower bumper/skid guard?

i was gunna repaint the piece of plastic below my bumper, because it has several scratches on it. im not sure how you remove it though; it looks like you may have to take off the tires first, maybe? amy help would be awesome!

two torx screws on either side then just clips on the rest of the way around. it's hooked at about every 6 inches. just gotta muscle it off. make sure you prep the heck out of it so the paint sticks well. let us know how it turns out. are you going to do the rear and sides too?

yeah, i was planning on doing it the whole way around. i tried to muscle it off, but im afraid of breaking the clips somehow. i might just paint it on the car, and mask off around it.

i know it feels wierd but just yank it off. i just started mine and pulled for a while just go a little at a time. i think the "hooks"on the tabs are on the trim and then hook under whatever they go into under the bumper. you could push those down from behind if you want to be really careful. to do the best prep work you'll be better off removing it.

I got a quick question, If are underguard is starting to sag down due to getting tugged down by unknown objects. Is it safe to take off? and will it look okay or would my car just look fruity?

*UPDATE*

I finally managed to muscle the damn thing off. I sanded out the majority of the large scrapes and scratches from curbs, roads, etc. Then I primed and painted it with a flat black dulpicolor bumper spray. Sorry about the dirty car, haven't had too much free time to wash her.

ps. It may not look like a huge difference, but in real life it looks 10 years newer!
