Default Refinishing/SlotStock Rotors

Hey guys,

At this point in time i am not looking to fully upgrade my brake kit. I was wondering how much it would cost for a Brake Shop to refinish and Put Slots in my Stock Rotors. Or is that just a silly idea and cost way more than just buying replacment slotted rotors?

Let me get this straight, you want someone to cut slots in your stock brake rotors?

Don't do that.

Yes, can you be a little more specific about why not?

it wouldn't cost much to resurface the brakes but don't ever cut or drill anything on the rotors. unless you want to either die.

edit: didn't see you post right b4 me. anyways, any slotting or drilling of any plain rotor will compromise the structural integrity which means, you could warp the rotors or crack them after some use. some use means 100 miles or so. you don't want your rotors to crack when you need to make an emergency stop. i hope that explains my unless you want to die part lol

definitely a stupid idea. get the a8 kit from purems. blanks are just as good (if not better) than slotted under normal driving conditions. its only under heavy braking that you need to relieve heat w/ slots. until then you want the most surface area for the pad to grab

If you want rotors check out R1 Concepts on ebay. I just bought these for my S4 and will be putting them on tonight:
