Real world 2.8 mpg
Just wondering what 2.8, and only 2.8 guys are getting mpg wise on stock or near stock engines. I want a 1.8t, but don't plan on alot of mods, love the smooth sound of the 2.8 and found one at a price hard to beat.
I have searched but every thread on the issue seemed to wind up being 1.8 vs 2.8 flame thread after the 2nd post. Thanks
*edit* 2000 Quattro, 5spd, 18" rs4 replica rims, 235/40/18 tires, intake, magnaflow exhaust

i have the 30v 2.8 and i get around 270 from the tank doing 4 mile trips tp school/work. recently i went on a camping trip ang got 265 miles from half of the tank, so it will all depend on what kind of driving you will be doing.

I'm full at about 13.5 gallons if I'm really empty.
I get between 275/300miles out of a full tank, 32 mile round trip for work, 5 days a week half of which are highway miles.
Averages out to be about 23mpg. 12v 2.8.

it all depends on the way you drive, i have the 30v and average about 300 some to a tank, and i do mostly city driving. with some spirited driving. and overall the 2.8 is a much more reliable, less maintenance engine saving you money in the long run if you don't plan on doing mods.
