radio problem

Default radio problem

i have a 01 audi a4 with a symphony radio the radio quit working pulled the fuse checked good put fuse back in radio works again until i cut the iginition off then it quits i have checked both power sources (continuous & switch) both have power when radio is not working tried two other radios with same results. anyones help would be appreciated.

try a bigger fuse like 20 or 30 amps 15 might even be good

the fuse don't blow it's like it's resetting something

is it asking for the unlock code for the radio?

does your radio work without the key in? it should. you should pm auditech79 about this. i've never heard of this happening so he'll be one of the only persons to know

i would still try a higher amp fuse, my friend had the same problem in his accord, the fuse didnt blow but he put a higher amp fuse in and he hasnt had a problem since

i just checked my fuse pannel now it says radio should have a 20amp fuse and is located in #37 which is the verry bottom middle fuse

A higher rated fuse is not the answer! Fuses are rated differently, and blow for a reason. I'd have to guess it's a bad ground, and as much as I hate to draft auditech into it since he's bombarded on a full time basis, he'll probably have a good answer.
