Default Radio install help

Ok so I did a search but I am confused. I just bought an alpine cda- 9884 aftermarket radio and wanted to install it myself. I looked everywhere and cant find the answers so if someone can point me in the right direction that would be great.

- Do i need a special kit?
- what about harness and antenna and where can i get it from?

- is there any special technique I need when wiring? like I read something about the amp?

any advice or tips would be amazing.

Thanks

Try BestBuy. Found an exact wiring install kit for an Alpine in my BMW for around $30. The Service-Installation center is the place to go, not the sales floor. Otherwise call/logon to Crutchfield, as they seem to have most of those types of kits.

i noticed crutchfield doesn't have any info on the 1998 A4 Avant..

can I install an aftermarket stereo in these and connect them up to the existing 6-disc changer / speakers / amps easily or is it not worth it?

specifically, does anyone know if this would let me still use the CD changer that's in the back and get good levels to all the speakers with the Bose system in the 98 a4 avant?

If it were me i'd stay away from that ebay crap. I did that when i was putting together my sound system and EVERY thing they sent me was wrong. The place I got almost all of my stuff is - http://www.audiooutfitter.com/ They had everything I needed and were cheaper than crutchfield

Everything you should need is:
Radio removal keys
Wiring harness
Powered antenna (has to be hooked up to power or else you'll have shitty radio reception)
Dash kit
and a bunch of crimp caps

The biggest thing is just taking your time so it looks quality when its done.
