Question on taillight connector pins (swapping to S4 tails)
OK stupid me, I went outside to swap my tails out and install the S4 Taillights I have. Did it with not much daylight remaining and I had to stop. My question - I have to swap two wires in their locations on the connectors in order to have the signal and reverse lights wired correctly. How do you pop the pins out of the connectors? I opened the plastic shells but maybe because the light was fading, or maybe I was being retarded, but I didn't see how to unlock the pins from the harness shell. The Audiworld DIY says to just push them out but they're locked in.
To those who have swapped tails and repinned, how did you unlock the pins from the connector? TIA...

The Guru is stumped
The easiest way would be to buy the Lisle 56500 Terminal Tool (the green version) to push the locking springs down:
The springs look similar to this:

So using that tool, a safety pin if you have the patience, or whatever you have on hand, depress the pins and pull it straight out.
When I swapped in facelift tails, it took me about an hour of frustration to do one side even with the Lisle . The pins did not want to compress down because I had already tried the push and pull method as described by Audiworld's DIY which only made made it worse.

Lol thanks man - I see the issue. I was pressing down the top spring piece but not hitting the bottom one. That pic helped a lot. I have some tools at work expressly made for that type of pin so I'll probably do this in the parking lot on lunch tomorrow
Thanks man - much appreciated. I was getting pissed off out there.
