Question about radiator in manual a4 V6
Hey everyone,
135k, 2000 a4 v6, ATQ engine
So my radiator is blown, leaking coolant like a mofa and I decided to get a new one. I just got the new one from UPS but I noticed that the radiator has a thread for the thermal fan switch located on the lower driver side. The thing is my original radiator doesn't seem to have it and the thermal fan switch is located in the lower radiator hose, just like it shows on the Bentley for the 2.8. Does the car have 2 thermal switches or what? And it sucks that the radiator didn't came with a cap or anything for that hole in case it's not necessary
thanks for any help

The radiator I ordered was the last in this list:
http://www.autohausaz.com/search/pro...=2172@Radiator
Part # 8D0121251N
It does not have the ATF slots, which to my understanding are located on the passenger side. In this picture:

the threaded slot I refer to sits close to the bottom left. The original radiator doesn't seem to have this slot or it's plugged with something. Now that I'm looking again at the picture, it does seem that the radiator should have came with some cap for slot as it seems that something is hanging just under the slot.

Never mind, I got it.
Apparently, there's a POS plug that I must get because the thermal switch in the a4 V6 sits in the hose instead of the radiator, so the entry must be sealed off.
The plug part # is 8D0 121 100 for plug and N 905 445 01 for the gasket.
Sucks because now I have to order them and halt the whole DIY.
Thanks for the help anyway
