At my local bodyshop, that does a great work, said that it would be between 1500-2000 to paint the whole car. Paying 5-7k is straight up rediculous.

 

Whats so bad about maaco? They will paint the whole car for under a grand, explain face and crack...?

 

I could see $5-7k if you were getting a complete respray, including engine bay, all door jambs, trunk, everything that is not normally seen or easily hit, and the shop was doing a lot of the labor to disasseble the car in preparation to paint. If you're getting an exterior respray only, $1500-2000 should be plenty to budget for a nice job.

 

It depends on what color your car is now and what color you want. For a quality repsray of the same color or extremely close to it Ide say $2000 but if your car is black and you want it to be white or something of that nature ide say around 3-4k. Paint is expensive. I got qouted 3500 for a respray of the same color on my old eclipse.

Do you have some names of good repaint shop, which are not too expensive but does a good work ?
