Question about coil on 2.8L V5 engine.
I have a cylinder 1 misfire. I was planning on swapping that coil out with the cylinder 2 coil to see if the problem followed but when I removed the coil rack and disassembled it I found that the 3 coils are hardwired in and cannot be swapped.
I've already installed new plugs and wires. As far as the coil goes, is there any way to eliminate it as the culprit without buying an entire new $130 coil? I thought the 3 coils were individually removable but that does not seem to be the case.
Also, the misfiring is intermittent so I doubt a secondary coil resistance check will show anything.
Any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks
