Quattro help in the snow
#21
Haha yeah i got over confident today. We got a snow storm a few days ago and Maine sucks in their road cleaning abilities. Coming out from a yeild sign i punched it and went right sideways. A few attempts at correcting and in the other lane i was with an F-250 coming at me. Lol you should have seen him glaring at me.

let's just put it this way; Michigan got hit with about 6-8 inches of snow over night, my buddy's dad plowed the driveway blocking our cars in with a nice amount of snow. I had no trouble reversing through everything, it's truly amazing.

^^^ don't push your luck. Quattro is great but it won't keep you from killing yourself in a wreck if your summer-biased performance tires let you down. At the least, find a set of all-season tires, or snows would be even better, so that you're on tires that are designed to run well and flex/grip in the cold.
I know you said "for the moment" and I'm hoping that means you're looking into this. FWIW, I had all-seasons last year that were half-worn, and they weren't bad. The car did fine, but this year with true snow tires on it (new ones at that), the car is a force

Quattro!!!
I've never put much into auto claims, but quattro is amazing! With winter M/S tires, I'm getting everywhere in a city thats requiring chains on all highways and have had no troubles other than getting out of my drive (very steep with 10" of snow covered by ice). We're currently in one of our biggest storms ever (northwest oregon) and for once I'm not worried about getting around.

We have gotten about a foot of snow in the last 6 hours up in Maine and the plow just came to do work and i had to move my audi. it has high performance summers on it still :/ but it got out of the banks pretty reliably, cant wait to see how it works once some snows are on there. Anyone got any for sale?
